An initial four-year term would be followed by a three-year reappointment. No individual in this track may serve for more than seven years at this rank.

Appointment proposal--The department will prepare and submit a recommendation for the appointment that is reviewed by OAA for completeness, reviewed by the Committee on the Reappointment of Assistant Professors (COROAP), endorsed by the Dean and submitted to the Provost’s office for approval. An original recommendation should be submitted to OAA.

Post-approval/Payroll—Upon approval, the department should update the individual's Personnel Action Form (PAF). If the faculty member is currently on the Undifferentiated Track and is being reappointed on the Research Scholar Track, the department should process a Multiple Action Form (MAF) to reflect the job code change.
