Professor, Clinician Educator Track
This level of appointment is a BSD senior faculty appointment for individuals who have demonstrated excellence in clinical skills, clinical teaching and/or administrative ability. Advancement requires continuing levels of substantial contributions and excellence. Appointees in this category are normally full-time salaried employees. Normally, the initial term of appointment is made for five years.
Medical Staff Privileges--Where applicable, the candidate should be invited to submit an application for medical staff privileges directly to the Medical Staff Office
CLO--The appointment process begins with the submission of a complete Contingent Letter of Offer (CLO) packet which is routed through the Accounting and Budget office and Facilities office. Once both offices have endorsed the CLO packet, it is forwarded to OAA for review. Once approved, OAA will provide department with any changes and will authorize release of the CLO to the prospective candidate

Post-approval/Payroll—Upon approval of appointment and attending privileges, the department should process a Multiple Action Form (MAF) with appropriate attachments to get the new recruit into the University’s payroll system. Forms must be received by the OAA payroll deadline to guarantee a paycheck at the end of the month. payroll deadlines
